Our Story
Rang De Basanti Dhaba opened its doors in 2015 on Gobinda Banerjee Lane in Tollygunge, bringing the authentic dhaba experience to South Kolkata. Named after the spirit of patriotism and freedom, we set out to serve food that's as bold and unforgettable as the name suggests.
What started as a humble dhaba has become a Tollygunge institution — the place where students celebrate after exams, families gather for Sunday feasts, friends bond over butter chicken and naan, and late-night cravings find their perfect cure. We're open till midnight because great food shouldn't have a curfew.
Our kitchen runs on traditional recipes passed down through generations — slow-cooked dal makhani that simmers for hours, butter chicken with the perfect balance of cream and spice, tandoori rotis fresh from the clay oven, and kebabs that melt in your mouth. Every dish is cooked with desi ghee, whole spices, and the kind of love that only a true dhaba knows.
